christ academy, cont.

barthelemy, a refugee from dr congo, has begun a school for refugees and orphans in githurai slum, nairobi. in addition to running christ academy, he lives with his own three children and fifteen orphans, in a two-bedroom flat. he says that he himself grew up without parents to care for him, and he has a burden for these children. he desires to love them as his own, and give them the gift of education.

  4. 1 has the best light. perfect direction to bring the focus to that little boy.

    everyone keeps saying to write more. you obviously don't want to and that is fine. i think your images are telling the story of the day.

    you know all the little sub-stories with each child, behind each scene, and i think that is what everyone is dying to hear. they want to be where you are living the "Exotic" life.

    but you give context with your intro paragraph and each image carries us through a day with the children. so don't worry about all the "writing". after all, a picture is worth a thousand words, no?
